Running Institute Mile 13-08-04

Note: This is not a RunnerSpace.com production. We have no control of the broadcast.

A world-class field, including eight sub-four-minute milers, will be attempting to run the fastest ever mile in the State of Michigan. The current record is 3m55s, held by former Michigan Wolverine and three-time Olympian, Kevin Sullivan.

The race is being organized by 2008 Olympic silver medalist in the 1500m and Ann Arbor resident, Nick Willis, who will be using this race as his final tune-up for the IAAF World Championships in Moscow, Russia.

It is not often a field like this is assembled in Michigan, so bring your friends and family down to Saline High School on August the 4th for some world class action.

Prize money for the competitors will be: 1st-$1000, 2nd-$500, 3rd-$250, 4th-$150, and 5th-$100
